Definitions 

“Cancellation” is defined as not attending your scheduled retreat, including postponing or rescheduling.

“You” refers to the guest booking with The River Retreat.

“We” refers to The River Retreat.

 

 

1    Booking Policy

 

1.1 A booking at The River Retreat is confirmed when payment is made.

 

 

1.2 Guests must be at least 18 years of age to attend The River Retreat.

 

1.3 By making payment for any program at The River Retreat, you are accepting The River Retreat’s Booking Terms and Cancellation Policy.

 

 

2    Payment Policy

 

2.1 Payment must be received in full at the time of booking.

 

2.2 The early bird booking discount only applies during the promotion period. 

  

 

3    Cancellation Policy

 

Naturally, no one books with the intention of cancelling or postponing their retreat, but we know that sometimes unexpected events occur, which keep you from going on a trip that you’ve planned. 

With this in mind, if you’re unable to make it to the retreat, the best thing you can do is cancel. All cancellations and booking transfers must be received in writing via email.

 

If you would like to transfer your booking to another female guest, we would be more than happy to do so. There is no fee to transfer your booking. All booking transfers must be received in writing via email up to one day prior to the start of the booked retreat date.

Guest cancellation Policy 

 

3.1 If a guest cancels the booking, the following cancellation schedule applies:

 

• If a guest cancels 28 days or more before the start of the booked retreat, 0% of the retreat package price applies.

• If a guest cancels 28 days or less before the start of the booked retreat, 10% of the retreat package price applies.

• If a guest cancels 21 days or less before the start of the booked retreat, 25% of the retreat package price applies.

• If a guest cancels 14 days or less before the start of the booked retreat, 50% of the retreat package price applies.

• If a guest cancels 7 days or less before the start of the booked retreat, 100% of the retreat package price applies.

 

3.2 Exceptions to The River Retreat’s guest cancellation policy cannot be made for any reason. We do not offer any credit for arriving late or departing early, missing activities or not utilising any part of the program.

 

 

The River Retreat Cancellation policy

 

3.3 While we have never cancelled a retreat to date, if The River Retreat must cancel a booked retreat date for any reason, you may transfer your full retreat payment to another retreat date, pending availability, or you may request a refund of your payment, constituting a full settlement. The River Retreat is not responsible for your expenses incurred in preparation for any cancelled retreat, such as airline tickets, loss of work, and/or other costs associated with preparing for your trip.

 

3.4 The River Retreat will not be liable for cancellation, failure of, or delay in performing it’s obligations under this agreement if certain conditions present unacceptable danger to the participant, for example, flood, bushfire. 

 

 

4    Prices and Services

 

4.1 Prices and services are subject to change. The invoiced price includes the services as stated on the invoice. Any additional agreements will be communicated via written form. The River Retreat reserves the right to change its prices without prior notice.

 

4.2 The River Retreat reserves the right to change its offer, the customer will be informed as soon as possible. The retreat schedule and programs can change at any time without notice. 

  

4.3 The River Retreat reserves the right to change or amend this policy at anytime. The current policy is always applicable.

 

 

5    Disclaimer

 

Written, Photographic Material, Data Use and Protection

 

5.1 The guest agrees that she may be photographed and/or filmed during her stay and agrees that the The River Retreat may use such images/recordings for marketing purposes without any prior consent. Any written material provided to The River Retreat in the form of feedback may also be used by for marketing purposes without any prior consent. 

 

5.2 The River Retreat treats all personal data confidentially and it will not be transferred to any third party other than necessary to fulfil the booking or deliver the requested service. 

 

5.3 If you would prefer we do not use any of the above material written by you or containing your image you may terminate this agreement at any time in written form via email. In that case, the personal data, written material and footage will not be used for marketing purposes.

 

 

6    Liabilities

 

6.1 No responsibility is taken for personal items left on the premises during the retreat or after departure.

 

6.2 We do not accept liability for any injury, damage, loss, additional expenses and disruptions caused directly or indirectly by events, which are beyond our control (including natural disasters).

 

6.3 We do not accept liability for error omissions, default or negligence represented on our website.

 

6.4 The River Retreat does not accept liability for changes made due to renovation, alteration and refurbishing of The River House. We endeavour to keep our website updated at all times.
